Phuthuma Nathi (PN) is a B-BBEE scheme linked to MultiChoice South Africa, PN has paid over R13 billion in dividends to shareholders. BBMIH benefits from steady yields and strong long-term value.
Transformational Investment Portfolio One (TIP One) is a diversified BEE investment company holding shares in Yebo Yethu, MTN Zakhele Futhi, SOLBE01, and Phuthuma Nathi.

In alignment with directives from shareholders and the Baphalane Ba Mantserre Community Development Trust, and following a comprehensive review of the company’s solvency position, liquidity requirements, and strategic diversification objectives, the Board approved the disposal of 10% plus one share of BBMIH’s equity interest, reducing its holding from 60% to 49%. This strategic decision was executed to strengthen cash flow, support funding for the internal roads project, and enable continued implementation of BBMIH’s diversification and community development programmes.
Our flagship renewable energy project — a 250MW solar facility — will power growth, jobs, and community ownership. This project brings renewable energy, employment, and business opportunities for the community of Mantserre and surrounding areas in the future. The project is set to create job opportunities for 850 during construction and 250 during operations, ensuring sustainability and job security. Project set to launch in 2026.
BBMIH has invested in a proposed development of portion 3 of the farm Waagfontein 89 JQ which will establish a township aimed at providing amongst other residential stock. This investment will require further capital for the settlement of the acquisition price of the land for development purposes. The development will provide employment and procurement opportunities for local entrepreneurs and job seekers.
